Terms of Service

1. Base and Bridging Smart Contracts

Base is an open source, optimistic rollup protocol that operates with the Ethereum blockchain. The Base protocol includes protocol smart contracts that allow you to "bridge" digital assets between Ethereum and Base. Neither Base nor the Bridging Smart Contracts are part of the Services. Coinbase does not control what third parties may build on Base or take possession of any digital assets on Base.

2. Reward System Eligibility

To be eligible for the gas fee reclaim program, you must have:

• Completed Ethereum mainnet transactions before February 1st, 2025
• Paid gas fees on those transactions
• Connected a compatible cryptocurrency wallet to verify your transactions
• Completed the verification process on our platform

Reward amounts are calculated based on the total gas fees paid and may be subject to certain limits. We reserve the right to modify the program at our discretion.

3. Who May Use the Services

You may only use the Services if you are legally capable of forming a binding contract in your respective jurisdiction and not barred from using the Services under the laws of any applicable jurisdiction. If you are using the Services on behalf of an entity, you agree to these Terms for that entity and represent that you have the authority to bind that entity.

4. Reward Distribution and Claiming

Eligible users can claim their rewards through the following process:

1. Connect your Ethereum wallet that you've used for transactions
2. Our system will analyze your on-chain activity to calculate your eligible gas fees
3. Connect a Base wallet to receive your rewards
4. Claims are processed instantly on the Base network

All rewards are issued in the form of Base tokens and are subject to availability.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICES, INCLUDING ALL CONTENT AND FUNCTIONS MADE AVAILABLE ON OR ACCESSED THROUGH THE SERVICES, ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE BY LAW, WE MAKE NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND WHATSOEVER REGARDING THE SERVICES.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THESE TERMS OR FROM THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICES EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU HAVE PAID TO US FOR USE OF THE SERVICES OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS HIGHER.

7. Dispute Resolution

If you have a dispute with us, you agree to first contact us through our support channels. By agreeing to these Terms, you and we agree to resolve any disputes through binding arbitration or in small claims court instead of a court of general jurisdiction.
